Andre is a true professional! TEN STARS! ⭐️✨ As a Realtor myself, based in Texas, I approached my search for an apartment in Porto, Portugal very intentionally and with a trained eye. I found Andre Fernandez through my own research on Facebook, reading what others had shared about their experiences with him. Based on those reviews, I decided to take a chance and reach out—and I’m so glad I did. Andre and I first connected around August 2025, and from the very first conversation, he was clear, organized, and professional. He contacted me via WhatsApp, explained exactly what information and documents he needed, and once I sent everything over, he and his assistant, Deise, immediately got to work by sending me properties to view so they could be scheduled to see. When I arrived in Portugal (Lisbon) in late November, Andre stayed in communication with me, asking where I was staying and explaining some of the different areas in Porto. Definitely not wanting to buy a house in Viana do Castelo without help, my husband and I were relieved when André agreed to act as our agent. Almost 3 years ago, as we narrowed it down to Porto, but still in the US, we worked with André so that when we first landed on Portuguese soil, we signed our lease the next day. Now, three years later, André presented us with potential properties in Porto and Viana do Castelo, and we ultimately chose a great house in Viana that needed help but spoke to us! Our offer was accepted by the heirs, but for a lot of reasons related to the local municipal processes and other logistics, it took 5 months to finalize the sale. For the entire time, when things might seem to be stalled, it was André’s reassurance that kept things from falling apart. André was always accessible and kept us informed. When the day of the Deed transfer finally happened, it was 2 long hours of Portuguese legalese, all 4 heirs in attendance feeling saudade, (3 of them residing outside the country), and their agent, us, André, Francisco, the ReMax solicitor, and our certified Portuguese to English translator. (A substantially different process than a “sign this” at a Title Company closing…and in Portuguese!) As the buyers this time, again, we were well represented by André and his ReMax support team. Andre helped us through the entire process of identifying and completing a lease for our new home in Porto, all from across the globe! From the first message I sent him on WhatsApp until today, several months after completing the lease and making our payment to him, Andre has been responsive, friendly, and professional. He helped us understand some of the nuances of the Portuguese rental market, visited listings we identified on idealista.com, and coordinated the whole process to finalize the lease. While we haven't yet moved in and completed this part of the process, Andre's services include support in getting the utilities set up. I don't know if/when I'll need the services of a real estate agent again once we're in Portugal, but if I do, Andre will definitely be on the top of my list of agents to connect with!

Within 3 weeks while I was still in the US, not only had he found me a gorgeous apartment in the Lapa neighborhood of Porto, but the lease was signed and registered so I could apply for my D7 visa. In the process André sent me video if the apartment and assured me that the landlord was kind and ethical. He helped me get my utilities and internet set up and answered every question I had. Where André really shined for me was when there was a mixup with my arrival and then a problem with my washer. In both cases he got me taken care of quickly and effectively.
